You may have seen that things have started to look a bit different on Historvius lately. That’s because we’ve just brought a whole host of tremendous new features to the site. Here’s the lowdown on what’s new:

- - Discuss history, comment on historic sites and upload photos of your travels

BUILD YOUR VIRTUAL EMPIRE
One of the most exciting features of the new upgrades gives you the chance to truly become King of the Castle or even Emperor of the Colosseum.
By uploading new historical places to Historvius, or by adding comments and photos to sites you’ve already visited, you can earn points and win dominion over historical sites across the globe. Your very own Virtual Empire Map will track your progress and you can even compare your empire in a direct head-to-head with others. Those who build the best empires will even feature in our Leading Empires Map!
As you get involved with the community and share your experiences about those historic sites you’ve visited, you’ll earn points, titles and badges and will build your dominion as you travel. You can share your success with your friends on leading social networks and all your dominion badges will appear in your profile, alongside the map of your empire!
To get started simply register for your account and start uploading comments, photos and new historic sites now! And rest assured that, as the saying goes, it’s free and always will be!
Enjoy!
NEW LOOK
You’ll also have noticed that Historvius has a new look! We wanted to highlight some of the most striking historic sites around the world, which you’ll now see randomly loaded into the background as you browse the website.
