Baalbek
Julius Caesar chose Baalbek to be a Roman colony in 47BC and used it as a place to settle his veterans. The city prospered and became home to the largest ever Roman temple and a range of other magnificent ancient structures.

Corinth
Corinth was a major Greek and Roman city and, after suffering devastation in the second century BC, was significantly rebuilt as the Roman colony of Colonia Laus Iulia Corinthiensis by Julius Caesar.

Forum of Caesar
The Forum of Caesar was commissioned by Julius Caesar in 54 BC and completed eight years later. It became a centre-point for life in Rome and was expanded by Caesar’s successors.

Roman Agora of Athens
Julius Caesar was dedicated to improving this ancient city and was the patron behind the construction of the Roman Agora of Athens. Caesar himself visited the city in 47BC.
